While conducting MSBI training<\/a> during SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) session we have found that most candidates to be enjoying while doing practical\u2019s of SSRS topic. We have bought one such discussion in this write-up on error and its proposed solution faced during practical of drill down report.<\/p>\n

Error:<\/h3>\n

The error occurred while grouping the columns for doing the Drill Down report. We were making a group column for Country Name.<\/p>\n

\"1\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Above we can see the error and we do not want the header rows to be repeated like this. This means that the grouping was done wrong.<\/p>\n

Solution:<\/h3>\n

The solution to this error is very simple, instead of doing grouping on the header of the columns; the grouping should be done on the rows.<\/p>\n

\"4\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Here after making the group we see 2 columns named Country Name, so the left one is the grouping one and the right one is the data column.<\/p>\n

So if we do the preview or run the report we get the following output,<\/p>\n

Which is correct as compared to the error we had.<\/p>\n
