{"id":2033,"date":"2018-02-23T10:49:35","date_gmt":"2018-02-23T05:19:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stepbystepschools.net\/?p=2033"},"modified":"2018-02-23T10:49:56","modified_gmt":"2018-02-23T05:19:56","slug":"data-science-training-in-mumbai-anova-test","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stepbystepschools.net\/?p=2033","title":{"rendered":"Data Science Training in Mumbai :- ANOVA Test."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <b>one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA)<\/b> test which is also known as <b>one factor Anova<\/b> test.<\/p>\n<p>It is an extension of independent two-sample t-test which is used to comparing means in a situation where there are more than two groups and determine whether statistically significant differences between the means.<\/p>\n<p>Simply it tests the null hypothesis.<\/p>\n<p>There are two Anova test hypothesis and they are described below:<\/p>\n<p><b>Null-hypothesis (H<sub>0<\/sub>)<\/b>: It states the mean of the different groups is the same.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stepbystepschools.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/1-4.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2049\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/stepbystepschools.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/1-4.png\" alt=\"1\" width=\"213\" height=\"33\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2049\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/br><br \/>\n<\/br><\/p>\n<p>Where \u00b5 = group mean and k = number of groups.<\/p>\n<p>We can accept the alternative hypothesis (H<sub>A<\/sub>) if the one-way ANOVA returns a statistically significant result<\/p>\n<p>Alternative hypothesis say that there are at least two means that are statistically significantly different from each other which are from different groups.<\/p>\n<p><b>Alternative hypothesis (H<sub>A<\/sub>)<\/b>: It states that at least one sample mean is not equal to the others.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stepbystepschools.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/2-3.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2038\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/stepbystepschools.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/2-3.png\" alt=\"2\" width=\"437\" height=\"273\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2038\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stepbystepschools.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/2-3.png 437w, https:\/\/www.stepbystepschools.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/2-3-300x187.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 437px) 100vw, 437px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But before we see Anova test in action let\u2019s just first set up a proper environment for R programming.<\/p>\n<p>To install R programming tool go to the following link and download the software and install it.<\/p>\n<p>For Windows Users:<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ftp.iitm.ac.in\/cran\/\">https:\/\/ftp.iitm.ac.in\/cran\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stepbystepschools.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/3-3.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2039\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/stepbystepschools.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/3-3.png\" alt=\"3\" width=\"602\" height=\"118\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2039\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stepbystepschools.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/3-3.png 602w, https:\/\/www.stepbystepschools.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/3-3-300x59.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 602px) 100vw, 602px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For Linux Users:<\/p>\n<p>If you are on Linux platform then you can use this fast and easy command used in Linux which can be used to install R.
